The Sun

Upright

The sun rises, and everything becomes clear. Self-awareness and illumination arrive: you see yourself and the world as they are. Your mind fills with warmth and light, and the shadows retreat. This is the card of clarity and joy.

Reversed

The sun is there, but you close your eyes. A refusal of awareness — not wanting to see the truth, because then you would have to do something about it. Yet light doesn't wound; it only shows. Open your eyes — clarity is already close.
